General Information and Policies
Responsibilities
Evangeline Charter Tours is proud to act on behalf of its customers for the services provided which include transportation, accommodations and activites outlined in its brochures and flyers. The company will always try to inform its customers whenever it is deemed necessary to make or accept changes in transportation, dining facilities, shows and attractions. However, it is the customer's responsibility to be punctual for departures, group activities and other scheduled shows. The customer is also responsibile for travel insurance (both cancellation and medical in case of sickness and or injury) that can be purchased at our office.
Deposits
A twenty (20) percent deposit is usually required when booking a tour. Other arrangements can be made to accommodate customers. It is highly recommended to take the cancellation insurance especially on most tours.
Transportation and luggage
ECT uses modern air-conditioned motor coaches (PA and VCR systems, reclining seats, washrooms). Each customer receives a tag for one (1) suitcase for luggage handling facilities. The customer is responsible for store the carry-on in the compartment above the seat. The rotation of the seats is done daily and there are practically NO EXCEPTIONS.
Cancellation Policy
· 60 days before departure date: Full refund of amount paid less $25.00 processing fees.
· 59 to 45 days before date of departure: 60% of amount paid is refunded when request is made in writing with a medical certificate.
· 44 to 30 days prior to departure: 30% of amount paid is refunded when request is made in writing with a medical certificate.
· 29 to 15 days prior to departure: 20% of amount paid is refunded when request is made in writing with a medical certificate.
· 14 to date of departure: NO REFUND.
To secure your deposits and your full payment of the tour, ECT highly recommends the purchase of cancellation insurance which will cover a full refund of your deposit or the tour cost. ECT acts as agent for two (2) Canadian travel insurance companies.
Pickup stations
General rule:
Valley: Digby and along HWY 101.
Halifax : Smitty's Restaurant on
Lacewood Drive.
Bridgewater : Canadian Tire.
Truro : Irving Mainway, Exit 14.
The pick up stations may vary for each tour depending on the number of customers. Customers will be advised of their pick up station and pick up time.
Groups
ECT is pleased to meet groups who wish to customize any tour, even the ones we offer at this time.
